Laissez Les Bon Temp Roulez!

Last weekend we went home to celebrate Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Tee attended his first Mardi Gras Parade and caught a ton of beads for his friends at school. He loved the parade and would yell when the band passed by with their loud marching music as if he was trying to sing over them, to cute! Rob and I also got to attend the Endymion Mardi Gras ball in the Super Dome. It was an awesome party and our first over night without Tee. A HUGE thanks for Nana and Papa for watching him.

Tee at his first Mardi Gras parade, what a smile for the camera.

First Birthday Party!

Last weekend Rob and I threw Tee a first Birthday Party with all of his friends. We ended up getting a beautiful day, thank goodness because our house is not big enough to have everyone inside. All of the grandparents and aunts also came into town to celebrate. It was a great party and thank you to everyone who came to make it a special day for Tee. It will be a day to remember!!

1st Birthday cake...yummy!!

He got into the cake before we could even sing happy birthday to him and as a side note what kind of person puts red frosting on a 1 year old's cake!!! His face was stained red for a couple of days :-)

Everyone crowed in the kitchen getting ready to sing Happy Birthday

He loved his cake and got it everywhere!!! I am still finding red frosting stains on my kitchen chairs.

I hope this is not going to become a Birthday party ritual, to get naked and take a bath in the kitchen sink with all of the party guests watching, but you saw the picture above we didn't have a lot of options.

Happy 1st Birthday Tee Rob!!

Tee Rob celebrated his first birthday on January 24th!! It is hard to believe how fast a year goes by and how much is has grown. It was a pretty low key day, we hung out at the house and took Tee out for Mexican food (his favorite). They even sang Happy Birthday to him in Spanish.

I also thought this would be a good time to catch everyone up on his name, I have been getting a lot of questions lately about it. He is Robert IV, so since their are three other Robert's in the family Rob and I wanted to come up with a name to call him so we wouldn't get all the Rob's confused. For you non Louisiana people 'Tee' is the Cajun word for little so instead of calling him little Rob we call him Tee Rob or just Tee. Nothing to exciting or anything, but it does keep all of the Rob's straight when I am referring to them :-)

Jungle Gym

We have been getting really nice weekends the past couple of weeks and big Rob finally decided to put up the jungle gym that we got Tee Rob for Christmas a few weeks ago. Tee loves it and has been known to climb through the dogie door a time or two to go and play on it :-) Merry late Christmas Tee!!!
