16 Week Check-up!!!

Rob and I went to the doctor yesterday for the 16 week checkup on the baby and the baby and I continue to be doing well and are both very healthy. We are so fortunate because everything has been going so smooth. I never got morning sickness and haven’t suffered from most the pregnancy symptoms that most women suffer from. I think it must be good genes because in speaking with my mom she said she never go sick as well. The hardest part for me will be fighting off the cravings and trying not to gain too much weight :-)

I scheduled my last ultrasound for Wednesday, September 26. So that will be the day if we find out if it is a boy or girl!! We are both so excited and can’t wait!!!

4th Year Anniversary!!!

Rob and I went to San Antonio last weekend to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary on July 26. We left Thursday, 7/26, and went to the Westin La Cantera Resort up in the San Antonio Hill Country. Rob got to play golf at the resort’s course Thursday while I rode and took lots of pictures of the beautiful hills, something we don't see a lot of in Houston. Saturday we laid out by the pool all day and both got fried, even with SPF50!!! Saturday evening we drove into downtown San Antonio and stayed at the Westin Riverwalk, one of my all time favorite hotels, and saw all the sites of historic San Antonio. It was an amazing weekend and a much needed break for both us! Here are a few photos from our trip you can also check them all out at the link below.

We're Pregnant!!!!

Yes, Rob and I have been very busy the past few months and found out that we were expecting a few months back. I am currently 12 weeks along and had a sonogram earlier this week. It is still a to early to know if we are having a boy or girl. Below are two of my favorites;

No, the baby is not giving us the Texas A&M Gig'em sign, just a thumbs up that everything is going good.
This is a picture of the baby's profile.
We are soooooo excited and will be updating the blog quite frequently with the lastest pictures!!!

Rob and I had a great Valentine’s Day! We tried a new restaurant in Sugar Land town square, The Burning Pear, the food and atmosphere were fantastic!! I even got flowers, aren't they beautiful!!!

This past weekend we made the trip home to see our parents. The traffic was horrendous!!! What normally takes us 51/2 hours ended up taking us 8 hours!! It was a long miserable drive, but we ended up having a great weekend.

We went to the Mandeville Mardi Gras parade on Friday night with my mom. It was a lot more fun then expected and we came home with a ton of beads…..don’t worry no flashing was involved :-)

On Saturday afternoon we went to the French Quarter with our parents and walked Bourbon Street. We had a few drinks and the people watching was very interesting.

Here is the link so my Mardi Gras photos;
Viewer discretion is advised we did see some flashing and got it all on camera….Enjoy!!!

Now that it has been a month, I think I have finally recovered from the Hawaii trip and I am now back to updating my blog!

We finally picked out our Christmas present from our parents, a dinning room buffet. It was delivered yesterday afternoon and is exactly what we were looking for! I went shopping a bought a few things for the house as well, it finally seems to becoming together.

Rob spent the weekend playing a watching golf...do I need to say more.

It was also kind of a chilly weekend, so Summer spent the ENTIRE weekend laying in front of the heater fan!! TOO CUTE!!!

Aloha!!! Well we are finally back from Christmas and our long trip to Hawaii. Hawaii was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. We left on 12/29 and flew from New Orleans to Dallas to Honolulu. Below is a picture I took from the plane as week landed.
We stayed at the Marriott on Wakkii beach for three nights, went to a Luau and rang in the New Year watching fireworks on the beach. Here is a picture on the beach.

Monday 1/1 we got on a cruse ship and sailed to Hilo on the Big Island. On Tuesday in Hilo we got to see an active volcano and actually got to see the lava flowing into the ocean!!! Here is a picture of me standing on the volcano with the steam coming out of the ground. It was so hot in some spots it burnt your hand to touch the ground.

Wednesday we were in Kahului, Maui. Here is a picture of us leaving the boat to go snorkeling and whale watching.

Thursday we were still in Maui and got up at 3am to watch the sunrise from 10,000 feet on a crater. It was freezing!!! We then biked 27 miles down the crater back to sea level and by the end of the trip we were in shorts and a t-shirt. Here is a picture of Rob on top of the crater.

Friday it was back to the Big Island in Kona. We went snorkeling off of a catamaran and saw tons of fish.

Saturday and Sunday we were in Kaui and Rob finally got to play golf, while I did a little relaxing on the beach. Here is one of the many pictures Rob took on the golf course.

Monday it was back to Honolulu and time to go home. On the way to the airport we stopped at Peal Harbor to see the Arizona Memorial and the USS Missouri.

The dogs were so excited to see us and a BIG thanks to mom and dad for watching them for such a long time. It was an awesome trip and I am so sad to see it end. However, to remember the trip I took about 400 pictures!!! So if you want to check them out I have posted them on Kodak Gallery. Enjoy and I can’t wait to tell you all more about the trip when I see you!
