This past weekend was another relaxing weekend. Saturday, we had lunch with friends at our favorite 'kid friendly' restaurant, Lupe Tortillas. You never have to worry about how loud the kids are or if they are going to scream at the table because chances are the people sitting next to you are in the same boat :-) Then on Sunday Rob invited Tee and I to lunch at the country club after he finished playing golf, another good place to eat since there is not alot of people there. We have had to become very creative with the places we eat at now. The rest of the weekend was spent at home hanging out and washing the mounds of laundry that build up over a week.

Rob read's Tee a story every night before bed. Tee is really begining to enjoy looking at all of the pictures in the book and trying to eat the pages :-)

Hanging out on the sofa with some toys.

Rob's 1st Father's Day

Unfortunately, Rob's first Father's Day was spent driving 8 hours home from Florida. However, we did manage to stopped at my parents house in Louisiana on the way home for a Father's Day lunch and to open some presents.

Two of a kind! Happy 1st Father's Day!!

The best and CUTEST dad's in the whole world!!!

Tee's First Vacation

We went to Florida in early July with Rob's family, it was Tee's first vacation. He did surprisingly well being away from home and his routine. However, after two days at the beach he had enough and was a little fussy the rest of the trip, but all of us still managed to have a wonderful time and get a much needed break. Here are some pictures from the trip;

I enjoyed the pool and Gramps finger much better then the beach!

We took Tee to his first trip to Hooter's while we were in Florida, I am sure this will not be his last trip :-) Needless to say both of the Rob's had a great time!

After dinner there was a clown on the Boardwalk making balloon hats for the kids. Gramps and Sugar got me one too with a dog on it!!

Weekend Fun

Well, we experimented with some rice cereal for fun the second week in June with Tee. We thought we would just give it a try and see if he would take to it. He absolutely hated it and spit most, if not all, of it out. We will try again in another month. It made for some cute pictures though!

His grandmother Nana insisted that he get a doorway jumper. Well, mom finally bought one, he is still figuring out how to use it, but seems to enjoy it.

One of his favorite things to do now is roll. He has fingured out how to roll EVERYWHERE. We put him in his floor gym and he will roll all the way across the room. It is a new challenge for Mom and Dad to keep me in one spot. I think he is going to be crawling before we know it!

Trip Home to N.O.

Rob's great, great grandmother passed away and we had to make an unexpected trip home during the first weekend in June for her funeral. She was 102 and lived a very long happy and healthy life and it was definitely a celebration of her life! Although, the trip home to N.O. is getting longer and longer each time. It was great to see our families and Tee always enjoys seeing his grandparents.

I started our June picture postings at http://picasaweb.google.com/snunmaker/June2008

Tee and his great, great grandmother, "The Great Mimi" (Rob's grandmother)

Tee and his other great, great Grandmother Meyer (My grandmother)

Tee and his little sweet face he gives me. I can never say no to it :-)

Work Travel

The weekend after Mother's Day I had to go to San Antonio for three days for work. It was the first time I was away from Tee over night. Daddy wasn't sure he could handle it by himself for three days so he called in reinforcements to help him, both his sister and cousin Christie came into town for the week. Tee had a great time and it was so nice to see and spend time with them both! The days away from Tee were hard, but I have to admit it was a nice break for a few days :-)

Tee looooooves his Aunt Rachel......

and Cousin Christie too!!!

They were showing me how to 'pop' my collar like the fraternity boys do. Don't I look cool!

1st Mother's Day

Rob and Tee decided to take me to the Zoo for my first Mother's Day. We have never been to the Houston Zoo, so it was a nice treat. The weather was beautiful and we all enjoyed seeing all of the animals. After the zoo we all went out to lunch. It was great day and a very special first Mother's Day that I won't ever forget :-)

Tee's favorite thing at the zoo was the Catfish. He LOVED it! I think because he was so close to it and it was right at his level.

It was a long day for him, but he was a trooper and hung in there.
